RECORDYN Privacy Policy
RECORDYN – Incident Record & Evidence Manager is published by KING TRANSITION SERVICE LLC.
RECORDYN is designed so incident records and supporting evidence are stored on the user's device by default. RECORDYN does not require a RECORDYN account or RECORDYN-operated cloud storage for normal incident documentation.
1. Information users choose to store
Depending on how the app is used, RECORDYN may store information locally on the device, including incident details, location information, people and witness information, vehicle or damage information, photos, videos, documents, supported voice notes, evidence metadata, SHA-256 integrity fingerprints, and generated reports or evidence packages.
2. Local storage and sharing
Incident records and evidence are stored in app-private storage on the device by default. RECORDYN does not automatically upload incident records or evidence to a RECORDYN-operated server. Files leave RECORDYN only when the user chooses an action such as opening, exporting, or sharing a file.
3. Permissions and device features
- Location: used when the user chooses to capture incident location, including Android-reported accuracy where available.
- Microphone: used for user-initiated voice notes and supported voice dictation.
- Camera/media/document pickers: used when the user chooses to capture or add evidence.
- Biometric or device credential: used for optional App Lock authentication through Android.
4. Voice dictation
Speech recognition is provided by the Android device or configured speech-recognition service. RECORDYN requests on-device/offline recognition where supported, but actual behavior can depend on the device, Android version, and installed recognition service. RECORDYN does not operate its own speech-recognition server.
5. Google Play Billing
RECORDYN uses Google Play Billing to offer RECORDYN Pro as a one-time purchase. Google Play processes the transaction and may provide the app with purchase-status and entitlement information needed to unlock or restore Pro features. RECORDYN does not collect or store payment-card details.
6. Internet and cloud services
RECORDYN's incident-recording and local evidence-storage features are designed without a RECORDYN-operated cloud account or automatic cloud backup. Some system services, Google Play, or apps selected by the user for sharing may communicate over the internet independently of RECORDYN.
7. Data deletion
Users can delete supported records and evidence within the app. RECORDYN also provides a protected local-data deletion function in Settings for removing locally stored incident records, evidence, and generated reports. Google Play purchase entitlement is managed separately by Google Play.
8. Integrity fingerprints
RECORDYN may calculate SHA-256 fingerprints for supported evidence files to help detect later file changes. These fingerprints are technical integrity information only. They are not legal certification, authentication, proof of origin, or a guarantee of admissibility.
9. Children's privacy
RECORDYN is not specifically directed to children. Users should not enter another person's personal information unless they have an appropriate reason and authority to do so.
10. Security
RECORDYN uses Android app-private storage and can optionally use Android biometric or device-credential authentication for App Lock. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.
11. Third-party services
RECORDYN may rely on platform services supplied by Android and Google Play. When users choose to open or share files with another app, that third-party app's privacy practices apply to information sent to it.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as RECORDYN changes. The current version will be published on the official King Transition Service LLC website.
